Perogies (Pyrohy or Varenyky)
Upcoming Days: February 1, 2, & 3, 2022
Day 1 & 2 - Preparation (Tuesday at 1:00pm & Wednesday at 9:00am)
- Peel, cut & boil potatoes
- Cube cheese
- Prepare potato & cheese mixture
- Roll potato & cheese balls
- Make dough
- Clean up
Day 3 - Pinching (Thursday at 9:00am)
- Run dough through rolling machine
- Cut circles
- Pinch perogies
- Put perogies in freezers
- Clean up
Cabbage Rolls (Holubtsi)
Upcoming Days: March 8 & 9, 2022
Day 1 - Preparation (Wednesday at 9:00am)
- Core & rinse cabbage
- Measure, rinse, & prepare rice in roasters for cooking
- Cook meat
- Separate & trim leaves from cabbage heads
- Combine meat, rice, & spices for filling
- Clean up
Day 2 - Rolling (Thursday at 9:00am)
- Assemble/roll cabbage rolls
- Prepare boards for freezers
- Put cabbage rolls in freezers
- Clean up
